Beets

Cylindra Beets

Cylindra Beets

Elongated 6-8 in. beets, with more uniform slices than round types. Cylindra is sweet, smooth-skinned, tender and juicy. Double duty crop. Beets return double your money – the roots are delicious and nutritious, while the greens are edible and attractive. With our wide selection, you're to find a favorite variety for every use: pickling, canning or fresh eating. Make several planting (3 week intervals are recommended). Garden-fresh beets are a family treat!

Harrier Hybrid Beets

Harrier Hybrid Beets

Rich scarlet globes are sweet, tender and absolutely delicious. The best flavor of any beet we’ve ever tried, even nonbeet lovers asked for seconds of this one. Tastes like you’ve already added butter! Roots are uniform in color, shape and size, with attractive tall tops—great for greens. Strong and fast growing, did well in our test garden even in drier-than-normal conditions. You’ll never need another beet. High yields ensure you will have enough for all your favorite uses—fresh eating, canning, pickling. Harrier is perfect for it all!

Forono Beet

Forono Beet

Forono Beet produces smooth, cylindrical shape beets--for perfectly round slices every time. Resists bolting, won't go corky or soft if harvest is delayed. 60 DAYS. Freshly dug beets have a buttery-sweet flavor that even kids will love. You get twice as much for your effort, too: the young, green tops are deliciously nutritious.

Ruby Queen Beet

Ruby Queen Beet

Early, round, smooth-skinned beets are exceptionally tender. Ringless and deep red Ruby Queen Beet--retains color through processing. 52 DAYS. Freshly dug beets have a buttery-sweet flavor that even kids will love. You get twice as much for your effort, too: the young, green tops are deliciously nutritious. Seed Counts: 1 oz. of beet seeds contains about 1,200 seeds and sows a 100-ft. row.

Perfected Detroit Beet

Perfected Detroit Beet

Perfected Detroit Beet has the same great flavor and canning/pickling qualities as Detroit Dark Red, but with more uniform color and shape. Deep rich red color throughout, no rings or white streaks. Always sweet and rich for canning, pickling and eating fresh! 58 DAYS. Freshly dug beets have a buttery-sweet flavor that even kids will love. You get twice as much for your effort, too: the young, green tops are deliciously nutritious. For fall harvests, plant beets anytime from August to September 1 (zone 6- planting dates will vary by zone). Seed Counts: 1 ounce of beet seed contains about 1,200 seeds and sows a 100-foot row.
