Blackberries

Apache Blackberry

Apache Blackberry

Enjoy the sweet and juicy quarter-size fruit that forms on erect, thornless canes. Flowers are extra fertile, resulting in loads of perfect berries. Disease resistant. Ripens mid to late June. Zones 5-9. Self-pollinating. Potted plants.

Arapaho Blackberry

Arapaho Blackberry

First to Ripen. Fully erect and thornless, quickly forms a full fruiting row. Ripens in early to mid June, so you can enjoy 8 to 10 qts. of luscious berries before the hot "dog days" of summer. Very disease resistant and noted for ease of picking. No. 1. 1-yr. plants. U.S. Patent No. 8510. Zones 5-9.

Black Satin Blackberry

Black Satin Blackberry

Large, luscious berries with unique tart/sweet flavor. Lose their glossy shine when fully ripe, around mid-July. Self-pollinating but more productive with a second variety nearby. (We suggest Triple Crown.) Extremely vigorous, semi-erect. Potted.

Chickasaw Blackberry

Chickasaw Blackberry

Beginning in mid June, 4-6 ft. erect canes bear huge sweet berries. A very high yielder, Chickasaw is tops in flavor and berries keep well after harvest. Zones 5-9. No. 1, 1-yr. plants.

Ouachita Blackberry

Ouachita Blackberry

Enjoy consistent yields of large, extra-sweet berries, easily harvested from thornless, fully erect canes. Ripens early, in mid to late June, and fruiting extends for five weeks giving you more time to enjoy delicious fresh fruit! Highly disease resistant. Zones 5-8. No. 1, 1-yr. plants.

Thornless Blackberry

Thornless Blackberry

Plump, juicy berries ripen by mid-summer. Thornless Blackberries are tender and sweet, perfect for fresh snacking, pies or preserves. Our choice of popular, productive varieties. Row run. At the supermarket, a handful of raspberries or blackberries can cost $5 or more. But why pay those premium prices when you can harvest baskets of these flavor-filled berries for fresh-eating, jams and desserts right from you own backyard? For easiest harvest and to reduce the risk of fungal disease, provide some types of support for the canes. A simple wire trellis set between posts often adequate. Cut spent canes to the ground after they finish fruiting.

Triple Crown Blackberry

Triple Crown Blackberry

An excellent, semierect thornless variety. Vigorous plants consistently produce large yields of luscious berries. Temptingly rich, sweet flavor, without the acidity of some varieties. Dense foliage reduces problems with sun scald. Self-pollinating. Ripens late July. Zones 5-9. No. 1, 1-yr. plants.
